Gede<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In Bali, Gede is the name given to the first son or daughter. We know you\u2019re not meant to pick favourites when it comes to your children, but we\u2019re in love with our first born, just look at her!<\/p>

Designed by Carl with direction from our Master Distiller Mitch Hayhow, Gede has a 550L<\/span> capacity, carter head botanical basket and a 7 plate rectification column. In short, she is more flexible than a Ubud yoga instructor and can make pretty much any spirit we make at Spice Islands Distilling Co. Agung in Indonesian means \u2018great in size, imposing in appearance\u2019. So naturally, with 5 liter capacity and standing approximately 2.5 feet tall, we called this little fellow \u2018Agung\u2019. Small, but perfectly formed, Agung is our trial still, he allows us to do very small batch runs to experiment with numerous flavours and distillation techniques. Our philosophy towards making our craft spirits is simple. Make it authentic, and make it good. When it comes to bottling quality craft it\u2019s a no expense spared affair, whether it be our Macedonian Juniper, or our new french oak barrels, we never compromise on quality. When making our distilled spirits, authenticity is paramount and unlike many producers in Indonesia, we reject the use of artificial flavouring.
